“Without prayer, we can do nothing. But through prayer, we can do anything God calls us to do.”
– Amy Carmichael, missionary to India

How You Can Pray This Month
We’re continually reminded how much we depend on the Lord—and how meaningful it is to have you standing with us in prayer. There are many things we can plan and prepare for, but it is God who opens doors, softens hearts, and sustains us along the way. Your prayers are a vital part of that work, and we’re deeply thankful for your faithfulness. Join us in prayer this month:

How You Can Pray for Our Family

• Pray for Janaya as she prepares to return to the United States on May 31 for the first time in four years. Ask the Lord to give her peace and confidence throughout the trip and during our time there. Pray that she would enjoy reconnecting with people, form meaningful new friendships, and experience all that God desires to do in her life during these two months in the States.

• Please keep Kelly and Joel in prayer as we use these final days before departure to prepare for our two-month trip to the USA. There are still many details to complete and responsibilities to finish before we leave. Pray for strength, good health, clear minds, and grace as we work through everything that needs to be done in the days ahead.

• Pray for Joel and Kelly, that the Lord would continue to guide us as we serve, make decisions, and carry the daily responsibilities of family and ministry. Ask Him to give us grace in our conversations, unity in direction, and hearts that are quick to listen and slow to be anxious.

• Pray that our home would be marked by the presence of Christ—that it would be a place of kindness, patience, encouragement, and forgiveness, where each of us is being shaped more and more into His likeness.

• Ask the Lord to keep drawing our family nearer to Himself. Pray that we would abide in Him, trust Him more deeply, and find fresh strength in His Word and His presence for whatever each new day brings.

How You Can Pray for the Thai People and Our Ministry

• Please continue to pray for our time in the USA this June and July, as we will be leaving Thailand in less than two weeks, on May 31. We’ll be traveling extensively through several states to connect with supporters, family, and friends. Pray for safety in every mile, good health and strength along the way, and meaningful, encouraging time with each person we see. Also ask the Lord to provide for all the practical travel needs ahead, including car rental, fuel, lodging, and the many expenses that come with a trip like this.

• Pray for the adults and students who recently participated in our Safe Journey outreaches alongside The Altar Team from Johnson City, Tennessee, in Minburi (Bangkok), Chaibadan in Lopburi Province, as well as Fang District and Sanpatong District in Northern Thailand. Over 1000 children and adults heard the Gospel, received Scripture, and experienced the love of Christ through these outreaches. Pray that the seeds planted would continue to grow, that hearts would remain open, and that many would come to personally trust and follow Jesus.

• Pray for Joel during our time in the States, that the Lord would open many opportunities to share about what God is doing in Thailand—both while speaking in churches and through personal conversations along the way. Pray that people would be encouraged and inspired as they hear how the Lord is moving, and how we’ve had the privilege of joining in His work here.

• Pray for Kelly as she continues preparing Rhythms in Motion textiles to share while we are in the USA. Ask the Lord to help her complete everything in good time before the trip, and pray that she would have meaningful opportunities to share the vision and heart behind this ministry project with many people during our travels.

• Continue to pray for Police Captain James, his wife Winnie, and their two children, who recently became followers of Jesus. Over the past four years, Captain James was deeply impacted through our Safe Journey outreaches, and through the faithful witness of other believers, he and Winnie turned from Buddhism to follow Christ. They are now being discipled locally by our iServe co-workers and other Christians in the Sanpatong area. Please pray that they would be rooted deeply in God’s Word, grow strong in their new faith, stand firm in the face of pressure or opposition, and experience joy, peace, and courage as they learn to walk with Jesus as a family.

• Pray for the church in Thailand to be strengthened and encouraged. Ask the Lord to raise up faithful pastors, disciple-makers, and Christian leaders who will serve with humility, wisdom, and endurance. Pray that local churches would be united, spiritually healthy, and effective in reaching their communities with the love and truth of Christ.

Thank You

We deeply appreciate your
faithful prayers. Every petition you offer rises before the Lord and strengthens the work He is doing in Thailand. Your intercession truly matters, and we are encouraged knowing we do not walk this road alone. May He surround you with peace, joy, and renewed strength as you continue to stand with us in prayer (Philippians 1:3–5).
